South Dakota is home to many strong post-secondary educational institutions that deliver relevant training to the next generation of construction professionals. The AGC is proud to work with these institutions in the promotion, education and development of tomorrow’s workforce.
Membership in an AGC's student chapter provides young professionals with an opportunity to learn, observe and develop their skills with current leaders in the industry. AGC of America, in conjunction with local chapters, supports nearly 200 student chapters nationwide.
Student Chapters exist at accredited two- and four-year schools offering programs in construction management, construction tech, and construction-related engineering. Schools must be accredited by ABET, Inc. or the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).
South Dakota State University, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, Lake Area Technical Institute, Mitchell Technical Institute, Southeast Technical Institute and Western Dakota Technical Institute all deliver construction-related training to students in our state. The AGC is actively engaged in partnerships with each of the schools to develop the construction workforce in South Dakota. To learn more about our post-secondary partners click on the logos below.
